We had a special Remembrance Collective Worship, some of Rowan class read their haiku poems about the war and each child laid a poppy while contemplating the words:
With this poppy I remember:
* how blessed I am to live in a peaceful country,
* how important it is to be kind to each other,
* the sacrifice others made for our freedom.
Amen
The minutes silence at 11am ended with the church bells ringing and a prayer.
Key stage 2 children continued thinking about the war in Forest School with some children deciding to dig a trench and others making bows and arrows.
On Sunday some of our children set up a memorial near their homes to share with neighbours.
